I’ve been seeing paint drip mugs everywhere and decided to make my own.
Directions:
First you’ll need to choose a bisque mug. This pedestal mug is my favorite! Next, wipe off any dust with a damp sponge and let dry.
Pour some of the underglaze into a dish and dip a soft, wide brush in water, then mix it in with the paint. Not too much water, you just want enough so it glides down the side of the mug.
It will take a bit of practice. If it doesn’t “flow” down the side of the mug, try adding a bit more watered down glaze, that will help guide it.
TIP: Don’t make it too watery or will curve weird. AND try to let each color of glaze dry between coats if you are layering.
Do one color, let dry, then move on to the the other colors, trying to to let them overlap or mix.
Let dry completely, then add a coat of clear glaze.
Fire at Cone 06 on medium speed.

Hi! These sound wonderful! I would use Pebeo paints, you can paint the plates and bake the paint on in the oven. Here is a link: https://craftychica.com/2024/03/pebeo-painted-pottery/ – and can I just say, you are GOALS!!!! Happy crafting!
