Happy National Embroidery Month, enjoy these free embroidery patterns! Or they can also be coloring pages.
They are bold and simple, easy to bring to life. Make one by yourself or share with your amigas!
This is a super fun embroidery project because we are incorporating fabric markers. Also, this is a great craft night project to do as a group.
SUPPLIES:
Cotton fabric

NOTE: I brought these to teach at the craft convention, a lot of people didn’t have time to do the embroidery part, but you get the idea! Here they are once I finished drawing them.
After that, I took them to a friend who has a silkscreen business, and he printed them on fabric for me! I also printed the circle around the image so it would line up within the hoop.
Directions:
Print the pattern on your home printer.
Set out your fabric, wrinkle-free. Place the transfer paper on top, then add the pattern on top of the transfer paper.
Use a stylus or pen to trace the design.
Cut out the design, leaving 5″ all round.
Place the fabric with the design in the embroidery hoop and tighten until the fabric is taut.

Use the fabric markers to color where ever you want. NOTE: You can choose to color it before you put it in the hoop.
Thread your embroidery needle and embroider over the lines or where ever else you want.
Video showing how to embroider:
Here are some designs (before they added the embroidery) from a recent class, I hope they inspire you to create!

Now, if you want to use the templates for embroidery, I suggest using a transfer pen – here are my favorites – from SublimeStitching.com.
