These are so gorgeous to display at events, parties or just of the heck of it.
These jumbo tissue flowers are crazy easy to make, and boy do they ever make a statement! You can mix and match the colors, or use graduated colors for an ombre effect. And just when you think they are done – boom – add some glitter to make them POP even more!

How to make jumbo tissue paper flowers
SUPPLIES:
Chenille Stems 6mm 12-Inch, 100/Pkg, Kelly
Fiskars 8 Inch Softgrip Scissors Straight, Stainless Steel (01-004761J)
Optional: glue and glitter

Directions for jumbo tissue paper flowers:
Take eight or nine layers of tissue – the full sheets – and stack them.
Accordion fold them all the way to the end, then snip a notch in the middle and wrap the chenille stem around the notch.
Start with the top tissue and carefully lift it up to the center, then repeat with the other layers.
The flower will become big and fluffy! Take a wide brush and dip in glue and tap the edges of the petals, then add the glitter.
Shake away the excess!
Here are some I came across in Mexico!

TIP:
If you making multiples where you have to travel with them – do not fluf them until right before you are going to use them.
For example: If you need 100 of them for a wedding this spring, work on them a bit each day or week, simply store them unfluffed. Then, the week of the wedding, have a fluff party and invite people to help you finish them.
You can use these to make a photo backdrop, or line an arch or string along the ceiling. My favorite thing about these jumbo tissue flowers is giving them away to people – their whole face lights up!
